Ready, set, GO!!!!!!!

Friday, October 19th, 2007

If you’ve been out to your local mall, big box hardware store or most any retail type store lately then you have probably noticed that the Christmas decorations are out, the time is here.  It seems that earlier and earlier each year people are so eager to bring that Christmas rush to their door.  All this preHolloween Christmas stuff is for the birds.   I mean most people don’t walk into a store in mid October and see Christmas decorations and think, “I’d better get my shopping done now, there’s only two months left!!!”.  I am the type of person that enjoys the building up of Holidays more than the days  themselves.  I think most people are like that, I may be wrong.  We don’t officially start the Christmas decorating in our store till Thanksgiving has gone by.  Although by the first of October we have gotten in all our newest jewelry for the season, so we are technically ready for the “early birds”.  But face it most guys buying for their better halves don’t come in till the 23rd of December to start looking anyway.  You can always recognize these guys, they look like a deer in the headlights, like Christmas has somehow sneaked up on them.  Guess they don’t get out much.  I must admit to my shame I am one of those guys.  Admitting that I have a problem is the first step to recovery they say.  Maybe this year I’ll start shopping early for my family, like December 20th.  That should give me plenty of time.
