The heading actually has nothing to do with this post, I just like it. A popular misconception about the “jewelry shows” that Ginny and I go are that they are mini vacations. When in fact THEY AINT! The main draw to these events we attend is not the free food. Nor is it the great locations or the jewelry shopping. It is mostly due to the fact that the weekend is filled with some of the greatest speakers of our day. Last weekend we were treated to a keynote speaker of pretty large significance, Mitch Joel. This guy is a guru of online marketing, interactive communication and blogging. Mitch speaks frequently to diverse groups such as Starbucks, Google, Microsoft, Proctor & Gamble, Johnson & Johnson, Wal-Mart and Sears just to name a few. These companies realize how important it is to provide there clients with the best experience possible. Business has changed in the last 5 years or so and moved headstrong into the Internet. So no matter how much we like to think that it’s “business as usual” it is not. So a question that has been asked to us at Holland’s Jewelers is what have we done to keep-up with the changing climate of jewelry. We know that convenience and time are important to you now more than ever. So with that in mind we now offer a phone call or email confirmation when your jewelry repair, special order or custom creation is complete. Also beginning in April we are excited to announce a new way to keep you up to date on the latest news in Jewelry. We will be assembling a monthly E-news letter. BORING?
