Primary Gemstone: Diamond
Alternate Gemstone(s): Rock Crystal
History: Diamonds are the most classic of all jewels, and are usually identified as the gemstone for engagement rings. Diamonds are associated as being a colorless stone, but when diamonds are formed with traces of other minerals, rare and beautiful colors are created. These "fancy" colored diamonds range from green, red, pink, blue, yellow, or champagne and are extremely rare and valuable. Diamonds are the hardest and most durable of all the gemstones. They are evaluated using the four C's: Cur, Clarity, Carat Weight, and Color.
